9 Unique and Creative Pressed Dried Flowers Projects to Try

Make a Spray for Your Home

Did you know that mixing essential oils and dried flower buds with a bit of water gives you a great-smelling floral spray for your home?

Skip store-bought air fresheners and just place the flowers in a clear plastic bottle for a beautiful bottle display that keeps your home smelling wonderful.

Just spray a little in the air for a fresh-smelling home throughout the day. You can try different essential oils and dried flowers too.

Make a Dried Flower Wreath

Do you know how to dry flowers quickly? You can actually use your oven to do this. Preheat your oven to the lowest setting and then line your flowers on a cookie sheet with wax paper.

Then, place this in the oven but make sure to leave the door cracked so that the moisture could evaporate. This could take around eight to twelve hours to dry completely.

Now that you have beautiful hanging dried flowers, you might wonder what you could do with them. Well, try creating a beautiful flower wreath for your home.

Just take dried flowers and glue them to tulle fabric attached around the inner rim of a cross-stitch frame. Now you have a gorgeous piece of art on the wall or place them around your home as decorations.

Create Gift Wrapping Accents

Instead of using the usual gift wraps, try placing dried flowers behind the ribbons or twine on your gifts and packages to create beautiful gift-wrapping accents. It’s best to use kraft paper for that classy look.

You can also mix and match dried flowers with twigs, berries, and other items to give your packages a rustic, country look.

Create Polymer Clay and Resin Coasters

If you love making DIY items, why not make your favorite dried flowers into handy drink coasters by placing them in polymer clay and sealing them with resin?

Polymer clay hardens by baking it in the oven, making it a great medium for home projects.

Make Floral Scented Bath Salts

With just a few ingredients, you can make your own bath salts to use in the tub to help you relax. Enjoy the sweet-smelling flowers with the benefits of all your organic ingredients.

Just mix Epsom salt, sea salt, baking soda, essential oil, and dried poppies or other flowers in a plastic jar for sweet-smelling salts for the next time you soak in the tub.

Make Frameable Art Using Flowers

Have you ever seen dry flowers in a frame? It turns out you can frame your dried flowers by placing them between two panes of glass in a picture frame.

You can place a piece of parchment or paper behind the flowers as a backdrop or leave the pane clear to allow the light to shine through.

If you have a large number of dried flowers, take the smaller pieces and make colorful flower confetti. It’s a wonderful option for décor with dried flowers.

Use a specific flower type or multiple flower types. Roll a piece of paper into a cone, place the confetti inside, and tie on a ribbon to make a beautiful wedding decoration.

Dress Up Your Phone

This is one of our favorites. Did you know that you can design a DIY phone case using dried pressed flowers?

Just take a clear phone case and slip in some dried flowers to make a beautiful floral phone case. Best of all, if you get tired of one look, just take off the clear case and place different flowers in their place.
