I have two girls in our home. Both have adored dolls and have loved playing with all the gadgets and accessories they come with (or that we can find) ! Right now my youngest daughter is the one who’s totally into it more though, but she does convince her big sissy to come and play with her sometimes.
I was the same way when I was a little girl, and honestly, I’m so glad my girls are this way. We have waaaaaay to many dolls, accessories, and who knows what else. If it’s been made, we probably have some version of it (or had at some point).
When I found out about this new line of dolls, inspired by Latin cultures – I knew I had to get them! I mean, how cool would it be to have Latin inspired dolls in our collection?! It’s just not something that’s been out there on the market, until now.
Meet the dolls
Don’t you just love selfies? (yes, our dolls take selfies hehe)
These dolls are just so stinkin’ adorable! They are diverse and totally Latina! Anyone can enjoy these dolls, but it is so nice to have something inspired by our Latin culture. They were not only inspired by Latin cultures, but also want to encourage girls to honor and embrace their heritage.
Viviana (Vi) is the big sister of Valentina. She’s 16 years old and a singer. Vi is spontaneous and easy going. She’s passionate about sharing her love of music and she’s always ready to break out her guitar at family gatherings.
Valentina (Va) is Viviana’s little sister. She’s 15 years old and loves to cook. Va is so neat and organized too! She loves learning to cook from her mother and grandmothers. She’s already perfected some seriously awesome savory family recipes!
More selfies :)
Roxxi is the eldest of the cousins, and all of the girls. She’s 18 and is a dancer. Roxxi can be a bit of a klutz, but put on some music and she will suddenly become elegant and graceful!
Felicia is 17 and is an artist. Sometimes, she finds it hard to focus, but then out of nowhere , she’ll have a creative explosion and come up with a genius idea for her next artistic masterpiece.
My daughter immediately connected with the sisters, before she even realized they were sisters! So cool.
The eldest sister loves guitar and music, and the younger loves baking and such. She immediately jumped up and said “HOW DID THEY KNOW?! I LOVE THEM!” .
We had such blast playing with the dolls, and as we were talking about how the cousins dolls were best friends with the sister dolls, I had fun telling her stories of what like for me growing up so close to my cousins. It was such a sweet moment that we enjoyed together!
I have to say too, that I loved how diverse the dolls were! It gives girls a real opportunity to find one that they can connect with. As little girls, we all just love and enjoy so much that time we get to play with our dolls and go on adventures in pretend land.
VI and VA line at Target
I’m so happy to hear that the line also has a birthday party/quinceanera collection! A quinceanera is the Latin version of a sweet sixteen, but huge. When I say huge, think wedding – but without a groom of course. It can be that elaborate. At least mine was :)
Get the dolls!
You can grab these cute dolls (and all that comes in their line) exclusively at Target (yet another reason to love Target!). Learn more by visiting here. Connect with Vi and Va on Facebook and Twitter.
