About

Hi!! I’m Marlene – a daughter of God in constant awe of His matchless grace, servant of Christ, wife to Michael, Mommy to three blessings – two girls and one boy (11, 4 and 1).

A Diligent Heart serves as a place to write out life as my heart experiences it… as I live out a life for Him ~ diligently. I hope that through this, I can serve and encourage others.

I spend my days taking care of my home and teaching my children. My evenings are spent on eating dinner with my family, putting the kids to bed to then have some one on one time with my husband or just some time with my own thoughts. When I am not doing those things you can find me online watching YouTube videos, planning my next organization project or maybe even gaming.

I love to craft, and my girls are becoming quite crafty too. I’m not sure how my son will settle in with all of this girly-ness once he is old enough to care, so I am leaning different things to do with little boys.

I am slightly obsessed with organization, to the extent that I get uber excited when I get to organize a space. I am constantly finding creative and efficient ways to organize my home. Throughout that process I have slowly learned different techniques that work and fun tricks.

Diligence is a fundamental part of the Christian faith, and it grows when we submerge in God’s word, study His word and keep our mind and hearts fixed upon Him.
