2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 1:6-9 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

  21. Hi marlene, i came across your blog because i am feeling very alone and discouraged! I am waiting on the Lord for a very specific blessing that i feel he has promised me. My problem is not faith because i know that he will do what he has said. I am just having trouble being patient while waiting. I try to be happy everyday and wait in faith while being grateful for what i have and the problems that i don’t have right now. It’s just so hard for me right now to keep moving forward in his promises. I feel as though i have no one to talk to in these tough times and maybe that is why I’m feeling this way. It has been a while and i try to keep pushing forward but sometimes i get really down on myself. Anyway pray for me and thanks for reading

  22. My name is Alyssa and I just wanted to thank you for this!!!! I really did need it!!! And since I am only 12, sometimes I feel like I am too young to make a difference, so a verse for all those kids and teens out there is 1 Timothy 4:12, “do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but instead set an example for believers in life, in love, in speech, in faith, and in purity. ” that’s my favorite verse! ;) and thanks again!!!!

    • I’m so blessed to hear a young child making such an important decision in their live. Truly continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart. I have served the Lord from my youth like yourself and still am a believer today at 30 years old. The Lord will sustain you. Another scripture that I liked when I was a child was Ecclesiastes 12:1.

  23. This was very encouraging for me today. I need The Lord to give my family a financial miricle and I was getting discouraged, but this helped me a great deal. I know I need to just hold on a lil while longer.

  24. I can’t read this on phone because of the share thing on the side, and it doesn’t appear to have a way of removing it. :(

  27. My adult son has been going through a very difficult time in his life and his confidence in himself and in God’s presence in his life has been seriously shaken. Consequently, as his mom, I too have been dealing with a lot of worry and stress fearing what may happen next. I read all of the scripture verses that you posted and then prayed through each one of them, claiming the promises that God makes in them for my son. It really helped me to remember that God does care for my son and that He is able to do far beyond what we could imagine. Thank you

  32. Marlene, you have no idea how much I needed to read this. Lately I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed about the challenges my husband and I are going through. There’s so much uncertainty regarding where we should live, what job is best for us, how to handle our finances… its very hard to keep my faith intact… I find myself feeling so incredibly alone, and confused, and scared sometimes… it’s like you said, I wish to just give up, but I know the Lord has great plans for us, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give US a future and a hope. Please pray for our family, we really need it. And thank you for writing these down, I’m keeping them really close to my heart!
